What is Scratch ?
Scratch is a visual programming language available for free online. It was designed for children ages 8 through 16, but it is used by people of all ages to create interactive stories, animations, and games.
In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of the Scratch programming language so that you can better assist your child or students as they get started with Scratch. While they are having fun learning how to make sprites dance, talk, sing, draw, or whatever, children are enhancing their creativity, problem-solving skills, and computational thinking.
If you have tried to learn programming languages like C, C++, Python or Java you may feel overwhelmed. But by learning scratch first these confusing things like ‘variable, conditions, loops, operators, expression, function, array’ etc as mentioned will be so much easier to you when you take on these more advanced languages as you would of visually seen how they work.
